TAC Jr. at Hemsedal
New year, new opportunities... Starting January I'm covering all The Arctic Challenge Jr. and Burton Mountain Festival contests. This was an offer I got from the manager of Burton Norge. I won't hide how extremally excited I was, so I didn't think up twice and said YES :)
The Arctic Challenge is now established as one of the greatest snowboard events in the world. It is the only TTR 6star event owned by a professional rider. It has started over 10 years ago, after the first riders were invited to Norway by Terje Haakonsen. This year is the second year since TAC Jr. has started as well.
First to go was kids TAC (The Artcic Challenge Jr.) in Hemsedal. Great conditions except freezing aura. I was kinda worry about my camera but 6 hours shooting in snowfall and freezing cold (feels like -26C) was no big deal for my Canon 5d and 60d.
TAC itself is really great event, with so many talented kids and atmosphere among participants. Especially when you know that Terje Håkonsen, snowboarding legend, is cheering them up!
Please have a look at some photos from first TAC's contest at Hemsedal's slope. I wish, that after watching them, you will be able to get same feeling as me, being there...
